Injury cured (I hope)
I had felt ok after the half marathon last weekend but a couple of days later I went to football circuit, which nornally involve alot of twisting and turning but still I didn't feel anything too bad. But on Wednesday I went to go for a run and ouch! Not good my left knee was quite painful. I have learn't the hard way not to ignore the first sign of an injury and jogged lightly home. A couple of times I have in past tried to run off injuries and ended up off running for over a month. It always possible to ignore the injuries as after running for 10-15 minutes the adrenline kicks in and the pain goes away (until you stop) A useful tool in times past to escape from sabre tooth tigers but not good for the longer term good of your knees.
So I have been off running for the last three days. We were back running again with a brace on my knee and the good news was that it was fine. If catch any problems early enough a few days rest normally does the trick. Just have to keep an eye on it.
